Indonesia introduced the Ceramics draft decree(4/12/2010)

March 24, 2010, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry announced tableware, toilet and glazed ceramic tiles and other products, the draft decree.

The draft decree stipulates that all domestic or imported, in the national distribution and sales of glazed ceramic tableware, toilet and ceramic tile shall comply with SNI. Therefore, manufacturers and importers shall obtain or use the SNI mark product certification, and should comply with the requirements of SNI.

SNI mark products that should be designated by the Ministry of Industry product certification issued by the following procedures:

A,with SNI as the standard of product quality conformance testing;
B, Audit Quality Management System (QMS) SNI ISO 9001-2008 or its revision; or other approved quality management system implementation;

Testing should be designated by the Ministry of Industry Republic of Indonesia's testing laboratory.

Ministry of Industry, General Administration of basic industries of agriculture and the chemical is responsible for the implementation of this Act agencies, and should provide technical guidance in this Act, the technical guidance, including product certification procedures and SNI logo.
Distribution in the domestic market, domestic and imported glazed ceramic tableware, toilet and glazed ceramic tile shall conform to the on tableware, toilet and tile SNI requirements. Standard specifies the terms and definitions, quality requirements, sampling, testing method, testing acceptance, marking requirements, and packaging.
